Important Notice:
Update : Due to upcoming elections in Maharashtra on Monday, October 21, 2019, please find change in operations as below:
1) U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai will remain closed for visa interview on Monday, October 21, 2019. Your consular appointment has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at same time as mentioned on your appointment letter.
- a) If you are unable to attend your new visa interview appointment on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 and your biometric appointment is yet to be completed, you must reschedule your Visa Application Centre biometric appointment and your Mumbai Consular post appointment.
- b) If you are unable to attend your new visa interview appointment on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 and your biometric appointment is already completed, you must reschedule your Mumbai Consular post appointment before October 19, 2019 through our appointment system
- c) If you are attending your new visa interview appointment on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 ensure your biometric appointment is attended on scheduled date mentioned on your appointment letter.
2) U.S. Visa Application Center in Mumbai will remain closed for Biometric appointments on Monday, October 21, 2019. Your biometric appointment on October 21, 2019 has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 20, 2019 at same time as mentioned on your appointment letter. If you are unable to attend your biometric appointment on October 20, 2019, you must reschedule your Visa Application Centre appointment and your Consular post appointment.
3) All Interview waiver application appointment on October 21, 2019 are requested to reschedule your appointment through our appointment system
4) There will be NO passport collection, all services will be closed on October 21 and resume on October 22, 2019
5) Pune Document Delivery Center will also remain closed on October 21, 2019.
There is NO need to contact the call center or customer support.

As of November 29, 2016, Chinese citizens with 10-year B1, B2 or B1/B2 visas in Peoples’ Republic of China passports are required to update their biographical and other information from their visa application through the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS) before travelling to the United States. This update must be done every two years, or upon getting a new passport or B1, B2, or B1/B2 visa, whichever occurs first.
EVUS enrollment is available at www.EVUS.gov. There is currently no fee for EVUS enrollment. Until a fee is implemented, travelers can enroll in EVUS without charge. The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will keep visa holders informed of new information at www.cbp.gov/EVUS.
自2016年11月29日起,所有持中华人民共和国护照和10年期B1、B2或B1/B2签证的中国公民赴美前,必须通过签证更新电子系统(EVUS)更新与签证申请有关的个人信息和其它信息。此更新须每两年进行一次,或者在获得新护照或新的B1、B2或B1/B2签证时进行更新,以先到期者为准。
