As of Monday morning, June 29th, systems issues at the U.S. Embassy Singapore’s Consular Section have been restored and we have cleared the cases in the backlog.  We are extremely grateful to everyone affected for their patience and deeply regret the inconvenience to those who had travel plans interrupted as a result of this outage.

All nonimmigrant visa cases in our possession as of this morning will be returned via the Aramex courier service.  Applicants should expect to have them available throughout the early part of this week. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to change your method of delivery at this time. Completed immigrant visa cases will also be sent out via courier as soon as possible.

Individuals who appeared for an interview but were asked to reschedule because of the systems issues (and received a “yellow sheet”) may appear for an interview any business day – you may come to the Consular Section at either 10:30 am or 1:30 pm.  Applicants who have upcoming interview appointments should appear at their scheduled date and time.

Thank you again for your cooperation and patience.

Effective June 10, 2015, some SCB branches WILL NOT be accepting MRV fee payments, over the counter (OTC). Please click here for the list of these branches.

Once your non-immigrant visa is approved, your passport will be ready for either pick-up or delivery three business days later. The passport can be picked up at the courier office you provided when you scheduled your appointment, or it will be delivered to your home or office if that is what you requested. For example, if your interview was on a Monday, your passport with the new visa should be available on Thursday. If there is a delay with your visa, you will be notified directly by the Embassy.

If you applied for a K1 visa or an Immigrant Visa, your passport will be ready for pick-up or delivery five business days after the date of approval at the address/location you specified when you registered your profile with us. We will notify you if there is a delay.
