Overview

Each visa applicant, including children, is required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee, whether a visa is issued or not. The visa application fee is determined by the type of visa for which you wish to apply.

If you are a Singapore national or a citizen of any other Visa Waiver Program participating country, please first confirm whether you need to apply for a nonimmigrant visa or not. Certain individuals may not need a visa, for example:

  • Individuals eligible under the Visa Waiver Program.
  • Individuals exempt from paying application fees, such as applicants for A or G visas, or participants in U.S. Government-sponsored J programs.
  • Individuals already holding valid visas for their intended purpose of travel.
  • Citizens of Canada or Bermuda (except in A, E, G, K or V visa categories)

If you do need to apply for a visa, please follow the instructions below for paying your visa application fee. For more information about fee exemptions, please visit this page.

Note: Applicants are limited to the number of times they can reschedule their appointments. Please plan accordingly so that you are not required to make another visa application fee. Visa application fees are nonrefundable.

Fee Payment Options

  3. SAM Web (www.mysam.sg) and Mobile App
SingPost Post Office
  1. You can pay your nonimmigrant visa application fee using cash or NETS at any SingPost Post Office location
  2. Print the U.S. visa application deposit slip available below before visiting the SingPost branch.
  3. Bring the deposit slip to any SingPost Post Office.
  4. If you print a deposit slip before visiting a Post Office, please take note of the expiration date on the deposit slip. If you have missed the payment expiration date stated on the slip, simply return to this site and re-click the appropriate link below to generate a new deposit slip. Tellers will NOT accept payments if the date on the deposit slip has expired.
  5. Once your payment has been accepted, you will receive a receipt. Save your receipt. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. You will not be able to schedule an appointment without your reference number.

SAM Kiosk

If you choose to pay at a SAM Kiosk via NETS, please follow these steps:

  1. Please ensure you have a printed deposit slip with your unique CGI reference number.
  2. Scan the bar code on the deposit slip or select ‘Pay Bills – Others’
  3. Select CGI
  4. Enter CGI Reference Number
  5. Enter Amount (Note: if you do not enter the correct amount, your application will not be activated).
  6. Touch YES for more payments or NO to proceed.
  7. Click ‘OK’ to proceed with payment.
  8. A receipt will be issued upon completion of the payment transaction.

SAM Web and Mobile App

For SAM Web, payment has to be made either via GIRO-On-Demand or eNETS Debit. For SAM Mobile, payment is only by GIRO-On-Demand.

  1. Please ensure you have a printed deposit slip with your unique CGI reference number.
  2. Click here to go to SAM web or open your SAM mobile app.
  3. Login to your account.
  4. Select ‘Payment Options –Others’
  5. Enter CGI Reference Number, Amount, and Payment Date (Note: if you do not enter the correct amount, your application will not be activated).
  6. An online receipt will be available in your payment history upon completion of the payment transaction.

N.B. Please refer to the 14-digit receipt number on your receipt to schedule your appointment online.

 

Scheduling Your Interview

The table below provides the activation timeline of your receipt and when you can schedule your appointment. Whether you schedule your appointment online or contact our call center you will need the MRV fee payment reference number printed on your receipt.

Deposit Slips

Select the deposit slip that matches your visa application fee from the list below. Values are shown in U.S. dollars and native currency. This page has more information about the different visa application fees.

DO NOT print multiple copies of the same deposit slip. You must have a unique deposit slip for each transaction.

Please Note: Visa Fees are non-refundable. If you encountered an error with your payment or you believe your payment was not successful, DO NOT PAY THE FEE A SECOND TIME AS IT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Please call our hotline at +65- 3158 5400 so we could investigate your concern.

Singapore Post -

After you have paid the visa application fee, keep the payment receipt for your records. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. You will not be able to schedule an appointment without your reference number.
