Passport/Visa Collection Locations

If your visa application is approved, your documents will be returned to you by one of the two delivery options described below:

  • Collection from one of the following offices - this delivery option is free of charge. IMPORTANTPlease note your documents will only be available to pick-up in the Consulate location where your application was processed. Documents are never sent between Consular locations. 
    • Mail Boxes Etc. 0202 - Deniz Kildan Business Services e. K - located at Bundesallee 116, Berlin, 12161 - pick-up times Monday to Friday, 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:30 (closed on holidays, 24.12 and 31.12)
    • Tri-Punkt Solutions - Munich - located at Dachauer Str. 9 (access via Marsstr.), München, 80335 - pick-up times Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 17:30 (closed on holidays, 24.12 and 31.12)
    • Mail Boxes Etc. 0009 - located at Eschersheimer Landstraße 42, Frankfurt, 60322 - pick-up times Monday to Friday, 09:00-13.00 and 14:00-18:00 (closed on holidays, 24.12 and 31.12) 

NOTE: Passports can only be collected starting the next business day after you received the pickup notification, within the above mentioned pick-up times.

When coming to collect your passport from the pickup locations you will be required to present a photo ID and the parcel number. If somebody else will come to collect the passport on your behalf, that person will be required to present a photo ID and the parcel number. Please note that the parcel number (ISL-number) needed for collecting the passports cannot be tracked online, it is only an identification internal number.

The passport will be available for collection at the pickup location for a maximum of 14 calendar days.

  • Premium Home Delivery - Your documents will be sent to the address indicated in the profile via UPS delivery services. There is an additional fee for this delivery option, depending of the country of destination, which will have to be paid at the time of scheduling an interview or registering for interview waiver. Please ensure that your name, as stated in your profile, is also on the mailbox. If the shipment does not state the correct name and address, the courier will not be able to deliver your documents and they will be returned to the sender. If you prefer an office address, please make sure that the name of the company is stated in the address. Please note that UPS does not deliver on Saturdays.

Note: In the event that your visa is refused, you are entitled to a refund of the Premium Service (Home Delivery) fee as purchased by credit/debit card on the website only. Within 5 business days of the visa refusal, you must send an email to, along with your DS-160 barcode number. Once received, GTS will review the refund request and, once validated, will issue a refund to your credit/debit card on file within 10 business days. Applicants who apply via a group payment and who were denied a visa are also entitled to a refund by following the above steps. Refunds are not permitted under any other circumstances.

You will receive a notification via e-mail and SMS as soon as your passport is ready to be delivered/ to be collected from the selected location. 

Please note that your documents can be returned with the Premium Delivery option only to an address in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland and the Netherlands.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Personal pickup of your passport at the issuing Diplomatic Post is not possible.

Change Delivery Options

You may modify your delivery address or your delivery option until 23:59 the day before your interview appointment. We strongly advise you not to change the delivery option or delivery address after the time limit. Any changes to your  delivery address or delivery option after this time limit will lead to a delay in your passport delivery. 

If you need to change the delivery option from pickup to Premium Delivery, please proceed as following:

  •  AFTER the passport is released by the US Embassy/Consulate - you will have received an email containing your ISL number; in this case, please visit: in order to complete the payment for the home delivery and register your delivery address; do NOT use your UID when making this payment, please use the ISL number received.
  • BEFORE the passport is released by the US Embassy/Consulate - please go directly to, enter your UID, select the correct number of applicants
    and complete the payment and address registration.

Check the Status of Your Visa

You can check the status of your application any time at this website: Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.

Passport Tracking Options

For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status.



If your status shows "origination scan", it means your passport has left the Embassy or Consulate and is on its way to the delivery location you have chosen. It is however not available yet.

When the status shows "ready for pick up", it means that your passport is ready to be picked-up at the chosen Mail Boxes Etc. location or, in case of Premium Home Delivery, that the envelope with your passport has been registered with UPS and is on the way to the address indicated during the appointment scheduling process. IMPORTANT: Please note that, in order to collect the passport in person from the MBE location, you should have received first a notification with the collection number (ISL-number). The passport will not be handed over to you without the ISL-number!

The Embassy or the Consulate cannot help you regarding the status of your passport delivery. Please do not contact the Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of your passport delivery.
