Immigrant and Fiancé Visa Fees

On this page:

Overview

All applicants for immigrant or fiancé visas must pay the appropriate application fee. The fees charged depend on the type of visa. Please refer to the State Departments travel web site for a complete list of fees. Applicants who have paid the immigrant fees to NVC are not required to pay additional fees unless only a partial amount was paid. Anyone subject to a balance of fees payment will be informed during the interview.

Fees are payable in U.S. dollars or Hong Kong dollars (HKD) at the Consulate's exchange rate on the day of the applicant's interview. Payments may be made in cash in U.S. dollars, Hong Kong dollars or credit/debit card (the Consulate accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover).

Fiancé (K-1 and K-2) applicants must pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee online with a credit card or debit card, or at any 7-11 shops in Hong Kong.

USCIS Immigrant Fee

All individuals issued immigrant visas overseas must pay a USCIS Immigrant Fee before traveling to the United States. Returning residents (SB-1), fiancés entering with a K visa, and adopted children entering under visa classes IR3, IH3, IR4 and IH4 are exempted from this fee. This fee must be paid on-line through the USCIS website. Please visit the USCIS website for more details on this fee.
