Overview

If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be returned to you via the document delivery option of your choice. You may choose to have your passport and/or documents returned to your home/office address in South Korea via courier service or collect them from one of the pick-up locations.

STANDARD DELIVERY SERVICE AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE

  • If you select pickup at Ilyang Logis’ Bonbu Office in Seoul, your passport and/or documents will be sent to this location for your pick up at no additional charge.

PREMIUM DELIVERY SERVICE AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE

  • If you select home or office delivery, your passport and/or documents will be returned to the registered mailing address. The cost is KRW 14,000 per passport and/or document. This fee is collected upfront by the courier upon delivery (cash only).
  • If you select pickup at other location of Ilyang Logis, your passport and/or documents will be sent to the pickup location you have selected at an additional charge. The cost is KRW 14,000 per passport and/or document. This fee is collected upfront by the courier upon delivery (cash only).

Please note:

  • The fee of KRW 14,000 (inclusive of all taxes) is applicable for premium delivery service and is payable upon delivery by EACH applicant.
  • Premium delivery option is available to all applicants applying together and not for any selected applicant in the family or group. By selecting premium delivery option, EACH applicant will have to pay KRW 14,000 towards this service.
  • For timely delivery of documents, please ensure that all data is entered accurately in your profile including the recipient’s full name (Enter your first name and middle name as shown in your passport in the first name field)and personal contact numbers in South Korea.
  • In order to collect your passport at one of the pickup locations or from the courier at your registered mailing address, you must present an original government-issued photo ID.
  • If someone collects your passport on your behalf, even in the case of family members, your representative must present required information to collect your passport.   • Ilyang Logis will hold your passport for only 15 business days, after which it will be returned to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

You will receive a notification via e-mail and SMS as soon as your passport is ready to be delivered/for collection. The delivery timeline for Home/Office Delivery and Pickup options are the next business day in metropolitan areas, two business days for outlying areas, and four business days in remote area.

Change Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until 11:59 pm on the day of your appointment. 

Passport Tracking Options

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status. If your passport is ready for pick-up, please bring supporting documents and collect it in a timely manner. If your passport is not collected in a timely manner it will be sent back to the Embassy or Consulate.

 

 

Email: Send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled, and you will receive an automatic response with the status.

Collecting Your Passport/Visa

If you chose to collect your passport/visa at the courier office you will need to visit an Ilyang Logis office during normal business hours. To find the Ilyang Logis office nearest to you, click here.

Supporting Documents

To collect your passport you must present your original (not a photocopy) government-issued photo ID. We recommend you also bring a printed copy of your appointment letter.

If a representative is collecting your passport from the document collection office on your behalf - even in case of family members - the representative must present:

  • Their own original government-issued photo ID for identification
  • A photocopy of your government-issued photo ID
  • A letter of authority, signed by you, authorizing your representative to collect your passport. The letter of authority must contain the following information:
    • Your representative's full name as shown on their government-issued photo ID
    • Your name

If the applicant is under the age of 17, the following documents are required:

  • An original, signed letter of authority from either of the applicant's parents
  • A clear photocopy of the government-issued photo ID belonging to the parent who signed the applicant's letter of authority
  • The representative's original government-issued photo ID

Note: In case of a group/family, a single letter of authority with the required information for each of the applicants will be accepted.
