When a Visa is Not Required - Visa Waiver Program

All travelers to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) must obtain the authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to initiating travel to the United States. There is a US $14.00 fee for ESTA registration. The fee can be paid online by a credit or debit card with the Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Third parties (travel agent, family member, etc.) can pay your ESTA fee for you if you do not have the correct type of credit card. If the ESTA registration is denied, the fee is only US $4.00. For more information and to register, please visit http://cbp.gov/esta for more information and to register.

Bank and Payment Options

Fee Payment Options:

  1. Cash at Bank: Any nonimmigrant visa applicant can pay their fee in cash at the nearest branch of Standard Chartered Bank. An applicant is required to fill in passport number, amount and contact number in respective fields in the customized deposit slip available for U. Please note that you must wait for 4 hours from the time of payment of your MRV application fee before you can use it to schedule your interview appointment. Whether you schedule your appointment online or call our call center, you will have to provide the Unique Reference Number or UID (printed on your receipt), passport number and receipt purchase date before you will be allowed to schedule your visa interview appointment.

After you have paid the visa application fee, please keep the Standard Chartered Bank fee receipt for your records.

Each nonimmigrant applicant, including children, is required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee, whether a visa is issued or not. The visa application fee is determined by the type of visa the applicant is applying for. Please see the Department of State website for further information.
