Important Visa Information

  • Visa application fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person. Fees must be paid in local currency.
  • You cannot enter the U.S. with an expired visa. If your passport has expired, you can enter the U.S. with the expired visa containing the valid passport and your new passport.
  • A visa does not guarantee entry to the United States. A visa simply indicates that a U.S. consular officer has determined that you are eligible to apply for entry to the United States for a specific purpose.
  • All persons arriving at a port-of-entry to the United States are subject to inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officers, who will then give or deny permission to enter the U.S.
