Cases Processed Through NVC

NVC notifies the applicant that an interview has been scheduled. Applicants who were notified of their appointment through NVC do not need to schedule an appointment through the U.S. Embassy/Consulate. Please follow the interview preparation information and attend your interview on the appointment date provided by NVC.

If a case has been current for over three months and no visa appointment letter has been received, contact the NVC for a status update at:

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200
Portsmouth, New Hampshire 03801-2909
Attention: WC
Telephone number from the United States +(603) 334-0700

To send your question to the National Visa Center, please click here.

You must bring a printed copy of your appointment letter, your current passport and all old passports to the visa interview. You must have completed your medical exam before your interview. Applications without all of these items will not be accepted.

Note:

  • The U.S. Consulate is unable to provide translators for interviews. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide a translator who can speak both English and the native language of the applicant fluently. The translator should be independent of the applicant and their situation.
  • Please advise the translator to bring his/her valid passport or photo ID.
  • Beneficiaries are strongly advised not to finalize travel arrangements, dispose of their property, or give up their jobs until after they have been issued visas. Quitting a job, leaving school, selling property and/or closing bank accounts prior to visa issuance may be risky, as in certain cases visa issuance may be delayed for some time.
