As of January 30, 2023, Cargo Expreso is the provider for the delivery and receipt of documents for all visa services through the U.S. Embassy in Panama.

This change affects the instructions you received when scheduling your most recent appointment. Please log in to your profile or contact our call center to update your selected document collection office.

If you have an appointment to deliver documents, you must go to one of the Cargo Expreso offices.

Overview

Once your visa is approved, Cargo Expreso/Gresinsa, will deliver your passport to the location you specified when you scheduled your appointment. 

PREMIUM Services: delivery and pick up of documents

As of November 1, 2021, all documents sent or received in most branches of Cargo Expreso/Gresinsa will have a cost of $13.89.

This change affects ALL active visa applications, both future appointments and applications in process within the Embassy. If your passport/documents are ready for pick up, you must do so before October 30, 2021 to avoid charges for the Premium service.

If you want to receive your documents free of charge, you must access your profile through https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=panama  and update your pick up location to Cargo Expreso Rio Abajo.

Please have in mind the following important points when selecting your document delivery location:

  • If you process a shipment to the Embassy, ​​through a Premium branch, either by Dropbox (https://ustraveldocs.com/pa/pa-svc-visachild.asp), 221g (https://ustraveldocs.com/pa/pa-niv-221ginfo.asp) or Interview Waiver (https://ustraveldocs.com/pa/pa-niv-visarenew.asp) these will have a shipping cost of $13.89 (The invoice for the delivery service will be issued under the company Grupo Especializado de Seguridad Gresinsa).

  • If you wish to send documents free of charge, you must do so at the branch designated as "free of charge", which is Cargo Expreso Rio Abajo.

  • Each operation of sending or receiving documents will have the previously indicated cost of $13.89. The amount will be paid at the Premium branches for each procedure you carry out (The invoice for the delivery service will be issued under the company Grupo Especializado de Seguridad Gresinsa).

  • For the "Premium Delivery" or home delivery service, which has a cost of $17.25, it is mandatory that you enter all your shipping information in the provider's portal that is presented at the moment of scheduling your appointment (The invoice for the delivery service will be issued under the company Grupo Especializado de Seguridad Gresinsa).

  • Please note that if you select the “free of charge” location you will likely experience long waiting times for both delivering and picking up documents due to long lines.

  • If you wish to make a change of delivery location, we clarify that this can be done BEFORE your visa is issued.

Collecting Your Documents

You will see a list of Cargo Expreso passport/visa collection locations when you schedule your interview and can choose the most convenient location from that list.

Supporting Documents

In order to pick up your passport in person, you should present the following:

  • Original photo identification and a hard paper copy of it;
  • Appointment Confirmation Letter with the applicant data.

To pick up your minor children passports, you should present the following:

  • Original photo identification;
  • Original birth certificate of the minor;
  • Appointment Confirmation Letter with the applicant data.

If it is a third party who is claiming the passport, he or she should present:

  • Original photo identification;
  • Photocopy of the original photo identification of the passport holder;
  • A signed letter authorizing the representative to claim the passport. The authorization letter should enclose the following information: Full name of the representative as it appears on the official identification document; and full name of the passport holder, number of the official document of identification and signature
  • Appointment Confirmation Letter with the applicant data.

In case that a third party is claiming a minor’s passport, he or she should present:

  • An original authorization letter signed by any of the applicant’s parents;
  • Original birth certificate of the child;
  • A legible copy of the official photo identification of the parent who signed the authorization letter;
  • Original official photo identification of the authorized representative who is claiming the passport.
  • Appointment Confirmation Letter with the applicant data.
    Note: In case of a group or family, only one authorization letter with each member’s information will be accepted.

Change Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document pickup address online or through the call center until 11:59 p.m. the day of your interview appointment.
