Immigrant Visa Information
On this page:
Overview
All immigrant visa and diversity visa interviews and adjudications for residents of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden take place at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.
Please also visit the official website of the Bureau of Consular Affairs, United States Department of State, for information on immigrant visas as well as other types of visas for the United States, such as fiancé/fiancée visas and non-immigrant visas.
U.S. Citizens who are residents of Denmark, and who wish to file a petition for their relative, should generally file the I-130 petition directly via mail or courier with the USCIS Chicago Lockbox in the United States.
The U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen offers the following very limited range of Immigrant Visa-related services:
- Applications for Returning Resident Visas
- Applications for Boarding Foils (formerly Transportation Letters)
- Green Card Abandonments (Abandonment of Lawful Permanent Resident status)
